MONTHLY SUNDAY GRIEF SUPPORT

Catholic Cemeteries Association continues their free monthly in-office grief support group on April 27 In-Office at 3 p.m. at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon and Virtual at 5 p.m. They offer a comfortable, private and safe environment where you are free to explore your grief.  Meetings are open discussion format, surrounding a monthly topic or whatever is on your heart.  If you are not yet able to talk about your grief, come and listen and be in the presence of those who understand.  The December topic is “Easter Season” and “Mother’s Day Grief”  Please RSVP rabrams@clecem.org or 216-930-4866

Join us on Wednesday of Holy Week, April 16 at 8 p.m. for this powerful, reflective experience that uses darkness and extinguished candles to reflect on Christ's Passion, culminating in a final prayer in darkness before the "Christ candle" is returned to view, symbolizing the resurrection.

TAIZE BIBLICAL WAY OF THE CROSS

XLT ADORATION

Adoration is a service focusing on praying, listening, and reflecting in the presence of the Eucharist. We do this to be closer to God both spiritually and physically. XLT (Exalt) is an adoration which includes scripture, reflection, confessions and music. You are encouraged to listen, sing, reflect, pray or just be present with the Lord. You are all welcome to join St. Anthony of Padua in Fairport Harbor on April 4 for XLT Adoration from 5:30 – 6:30, soup dinner from 6:30 – 7 p.m.  and Stations of the Cross at 7 p.m. Questions? St. Cyprian will be hosting In HIS Image, a 2-part series based on scripture and the teachings of St. Pope John Paul II on March 20 & 27 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. in Alexander Hall. We’ve had many activities taking place here at St. Cyprian and we are so blessed and thankful for everyone’s participation! First, thank you to St. Cyprian Parish Council for hosting our annual Super Bowl Pancake Breakfast with a profit of $205. We’d also like to thank the Ladies Guild and all who attended the 2025 Mardi Gras Dinner Dance! This year’s profit was $726! Thank you!

WOMEN’S RETREAT

St. Cyprian Ladies Guild is hosting a Women’s Retreat on Saturday, March 22 beginning 9 a.m. and closing with 5 p.m. Mass. Stella Maris is a Catholic homeschool co-op on the eastside of Cleveland that serves to enliven and enrich our students’ faith and education in a weekly school type session. With the devastation of the Los Angeles County fires over the past weeks, the diocese has received many inquiries about how to help the victims of this tragedy. Catholic Charities USA is assisting with humanitarian relief through the local agencies on the ground and will continue to help during the extensive recovery period to come.

SPECIAL COLLECTION FOR CALIFORNIA FIRES

With the devastation of the Los Angeles County fires over the past weeks, the diocese has received many inquiries about how to help the victims of this tragedy. Catholic Charities USA is assisting with humanitarian relief through the local agencies on the ground and will continue to help during the extensive recovery period to come. Please continue to pray for the victims of the fires. If you’d like to donate to this cause, there are a few ways to do so.  You can mail your donation to Catholic Charities USA * 2050 Ballenger Ave. #400 * Alexandria, VA 22314. You can also donate online www.catholiccharitiesusa.org. Or you can place your donation directly in the box provided at the front of the church.

MINI EUCHARISTIC CONGRESS

Come celebrate the Eucharistic Revival on March 8 from 9am–7:30pm at St. Gabriel! Join the Diocese of Cleveland and the parishes of Lake and Geauga counties for a day of renewal. Respond to the Holy Spirit’s invitation to encounter Jesus in the Eucharist. Through Him we are invited to be healed, renewed and sent forth to share the Good News.” The day also includes multiple breakout sessions designed to guide us on our Eucharistic journey. Opportunities for Adoration and Reconciliation will be offered throughout the day. Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided, as well as dinner following the 5 p.m. Mass. Cost is $30. Registration closes Feb. 22. 

NATIONAL MARRIAGE WEEK EVENT

National Marriage Week is a celebration that promotes marriage and family. It’s a time to focus on building a culture of love and life. It’s a reminder that marriage is a lifelong commitment and collaboration with God. Join St. Noel Parish in Willoughby on February 1 from 5-11 p.m. for a couple’s event, Pursuing a Lasting Love.  There will be a Vigil Mass, reflection, Adoration, music, dinner and dancing.  This event costs $60 per couple. POWER OF GOD’S LOVE

Experience the transformative power of God’s Love.  Learn, prepare and stir up the spirit within! This event starts on Saturday, February 1 from 10 a.m. - noon at Immaculate Conception Parish in Madison and will continue to take place the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month depending on the level of interest. ROSARY 

Come pray with us!  The Rosary is one of the most powerful prayers to recite.  We offer two opportunities each week to gather and pray the Holy Rosary together: Everyone is welcome to join us in this special devotion to the Blessed Mother after adoration on Tuesdays at 6 p.m. and for our country on Saturdays at 4:30 p.m. before Mass.

PARISH REGISTRATION

Parishioners are reminded to contact the Parish Office with any new information regarding registration.  Any changes in addresses, phone numbers, or family member information should be sent to the office so that our records may be updated.  Young adults who have established new residences outside of their parents’ home need to register with their current information.  Members who have recently married and are remaining as members of St. Cyprian should contact the office to establish their own file as well.  Parish registration is required for the reception of sacraments of initiation, marriage and for issuance of sponsor certificates.  We appreciate your assistance in keeping our records updated.

GRIEF SUPPORT PROGRAM

St. Bede’s will be hosting GriefShare, a nine-week support program, on Mondays January 20 through March 17 from 1-3 p.m. in the library. GriefShare is a Christian based program whose goal is to offer guidance, support, and encouragement to those who are dealing with the death of a loved one.  Please RSVP to Cindy Cole cindy@stbedementor.org or call 440-257-5544. PROJECT HOPE FOR THE HOMELESS

Project Hope for the Homeless needs volunteers to serve in the shelter or prepare and donate a meal. Whether you have a few hours or more, you can make a life-changing difference. AM 1260 THE ROCK NEW PROGRAM

Rachel Herbeck will host Burning Hearts. This new program begins Monday Jan. 20th in the 3 p.m. hour. Rachel uses Scripture to draw us into a deeply intimate conversation with the Lord. She asks us to consider two questions: What is God saying to us? And, what are we doing about it? Journey with Rachel to discover how to make your own roadmap through the Word of God and allow Him to set your heart on fire with zeal for his Word!

St. Cyprian will host a blood drive on Jan 9 from 1-6 p.m. where you’ll be automatically entered to win a trip for two to Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans! DIVORCE RECOVERY FOR CATHOLICS

Join us from the comfort of your home for this 8-week support group that is developed to meet the needs of those who are separated or divorced. Sessions focus on relevant topics and provide valuable information and direction along with the tools for coping with this life-changing experience. Being part of a group provides the opportunity to share experiences, support and encouragement. The meetings are facilitated by a caring, trained professional.
