ST CYPRIANS CATHOLIC CHALLENGE
MEDITATION:
“Jesus, help me to simplify my life by learning what you want me to be and becoming that person. – St. Therese Lisieux, The Little Flower
CHALLENGE:
God never intended for our lives to become as scary and complicated as they have.  “The Little Flower” also struggled greatly with this.  This week when you feel anxious or unsure, say this short prayer given to us by another Teresa, St. Teresa of Avila…”Let nothing disturb you.  Let nothing frighten you.  All things are passing away.  God never changes.  Patience obtains all things.  Whoever has God lacks nothing; God alone suffices.”  Feel the pressure lift from your shoulders.
RESOURCE: The Story of a Soul…The Autobiography of St. Therese Lisieux

ST CYPRIANS CATHOLIC CHALLENGE
MEDITATION:
Jesus told St. Faustina “I desire trust from my creatures.  Encourage souls to place great trust in my fathomless mercy.  Let the weak, sinful soul have no fear to approach me for even if it had more sins than there are grains of sand in the world, all would be drowned in the unmeasurable depths of my mercy.”
CHALLENGE:
Perhaps the greatest sin on the world today is that man has begun to lose the sense of sin.  Pope Pius XII
Each night reflect on your day and make an examination of conscious.  Then pray…O blood and water which gushed forth from the heart of Jesus as a font of mercy for us, I trust in you.  Whenever you are beset by doubt simply say “Jesus I trust in you”.
RESOURCE: Chaplet of Divine Mercy

ST. CYPRIAN’S HISTORY PRESENTATION
Have you ever wondered how the dream of forming St. Cyprian’s Parish became a reality?  What are the small wood panels and other items that flank the altar?  Do the colored glass blocks on the wall behind the altar signify anything?  How about the story behind the large stained glass window?  As a part of our 50th Jubilee, a history of the parish and the church building will be presented on July 18 at 7 p.m.  Please join us for the answers to these questions and more.
